been out of crypto for a bit, keep hearing about base now. Is this just another L2 or actually something worth looking into? my buddy said it's basically "coinbase's optimism" whaetver that means. anyone using it? gas fees any good?

some of these apps actually mining... just not crypto. mining your data and sending it to "totally legit business partners" 🙄
